Category C1 (7.5T/Ambulance) 5 Days
If you passed your driving test after January 1997 and require a licence entitlement for vehicles over 3.5 ton, you will need to pass your category C1 test.
If you are submitting your application to the ambulance service you are required to hold your C1 licence. Although most ambulances come in at around 4.25-4.5 ton, your standard category B licence only entitles you to drive vehicles up to 3.5 ton (if you passed your test post January 1997). We appreciate this can be a little confusing so advise that you telephone us to discuss your requirements further or arrange an appointment to come and see us.

Digital & Analogue Tachograph Training
Training is delivered on an individual basis, in our own Training Facility and includes:
- The Digital Tachograph Card (using Siemens simulator)
- The Analogue Tachograph Chart
- Drivers Hours (including Domestic where relevant)
- Working Time Directive (WTD)
- Covering points of law, the chart itself, exemptions, responsibilities, driver records, WTD rules
- Informing you of current legislation.

Driver CPC – Initial

Hire Package
Purchase the DSA CD-Rom/book and DVD as a package and return them to LGV Trainers after you have sucessfully passed your theory test and we will be happy to refund 50% of the purchase price.
