Usually Dr Miller can ensure a medical appointment within one week of your request. Please ensure you take your D4 medical form for the doctor to complete, which you are required to send to DVLA along with your application and accompanying documentation.

We can post medical and provisional application forms to you free of charge, alternatively come in and see us to collect.  D2 & D4 forms are also available from your local post office or DVLA

If you are submitting your application to the ambulance service you are required to hold your C1 licence.  Although most ambulances come in at around 4.25-4.5 ton, your standard category B licence only entitles you to drive vehicles up to 3.5 ton (if you passed your test post January 1997).  We appreciate this can be a little confusing so advise that you telephone us to discuss your requirements further or arrange an appointment to come and see us.

You have successfully gained your full LGV licence but still require hands on driver training to improve your skills when unsupervised and faced with commercial LGV driving for real.

We cannot stress enough the importance of our practical “On the job” familiarisation Driver Training Scheme.

Offering free training and paid work (conditions apply) through our Parent Company The Judith Hearn Agency Ltd. You will develop your newly acquired standards gained from your LGV training course through practical familiarisation. Professional drivers (and instructors) who are still active in the transport industry will supervise and develop your current ability and knowledge to a safe and competent level to ensure that when you are going commercially solo, for the first time, you are prepared for it.
