LGV Driving Instructor

Jeffrey sat his initial commercial driving test in the Royal Navy, 1967, progressing onto full LGV C+E entitlement in 1972.

From 1985 through to 1989, Jeffrey was responsible for the movement of Hazardous Goods through the Tyne Tunnel, Newcastle, before moving to northampton to continue his commercial driving career.

Jeffrey’s sensitive and sympathetic approach ensures our customer needs are always met in the delvery of our training.  With his career as an LGV Instructor beginning in 1990 with LGV Trainers, Jeffrey has gained a wealth of training experience across a broad range of licence categories, including;

• B+E (Van & Trailer)
• C1 (7.5 tonne, horsebox & commercial etc)
• C1+E (7.5 tonne with trailer)
• LGV C (rigid) & C+E (artic)
• Motorhome & caravan

Jeffrey is also responsible for delivering our Refresher Training packages to previously qualified customers who have lapsed in the commercial use of their licence, as well as providing an honest and accurate assessment of many drivers for the purpose of our Qualified Driver Assessments for local driver agencies and national transport operators.

John Gibson

Driver CPC Manager & LGV Driving Instructor:

A driving & management career within the transport industry since 1972, having gained a wealth of experience through driving large variety of vehicles, including PSV ‘Guy Warriors’ full LGV C+E combinations on a commercial basis.

Held long term Transport Manager positions for a major cash & carry NDC and a major DIY chain.

With a current DSA test pass rate of 80% with candidates being progressed through their LGV practical training.

Not only does John deliver our Driver CPC modules, but is also responsible for the development and implementation of our ‘Initial Qualification’ training and JAUPT approved Periodic Training courses.  Being a keen photographer and having the dedication & abilityto collate and present our courses to such a high standard, we are proud to develop & manage our courses 100% in house, ensuring the content is of relevance and use to our customer as a professional driver (and their employer).

Also responsible for delivering our ‘Professional Development’ training modules.
