Our CPC Periodic Training
On the 10th September 2009 all existing Commercial HGV drivers were required to have gained their Driver CPC (DCPC). Which means if an HGV or PCV driver does not have a valid Driver CPC card they cannot drive any vehicle over 3.5 tonnes professionally.
Cards are valid for 5 years and in order to keep the DCPC card up to date and continue to drive professionally you must complete approved periodic training. This can only be delivered by organisations and training providers approved by the Joint Approvals Unit Periodic Training (JAUPT).
We have a regular timetable of 7 hour modules all written in house and covering a wide variety of subject areas and key subjects essential to any professional driver. We have options of:
e-learning - Where you can study in your own time: you can do a maximum of 12hrs within your 35hr total.
Online - CPC sessions run over Zoom
Classroom – CPC sessions run as a group in person
All our sessions are typically 7 hours and are valid for International CPC
We can also provide 3.5hr sessions or Return to Driving CPC both only available online.

This qualification will provide you with your first CPC card and will be valid for 5 years.

We aim to provide you with relevant training and official material to make gaining your Initial Driver CPC as easy and cost effective as possible.
Our concise package is designed to prepare you for both modules 2 and 4 of the Driver CPC Initial Qualification. Price includes:
Module 2 CPC Theory:

Again, LGV Trainers will organise sessions to prepare you for this module
Please note: If you gained your car licence (cat b) prior to Jan 1997, you do not need to sit modules 2 or 4, you are given full Driver CPC status through grandfather rights, but will still be required to complete periodic training.
