Fully Managed & Ambulance-Ready
If you passed your driving test after January 1997 and require a licence entitlement for vehicles over 3.5 ton, you will need to pass your category C1 test.
If you are submitting your application to the ambulance service you are required to hold your C1 licence. Although most ambulances come in at around 4.25-4.5 ton, your standard category B licence only entitles you to drive vehicles up to 3.5 ton (if you passed your test post January 1997). We appreciate this can be a little confusing so advise that you telephone us to discuss your requirements further or arrange an appointment to come and see us.
We carefully manage your Category C1 training process from start to finish; organising your medical with all the necessary forms to obtain your provisional licence, providing theory test study materials, ensuring prompt and convenient theory tests dates are secured and booked. Once your theory tests are completed we can begin practical training.
Our courses offer a true 4 days training with your test taking place on the 4th day. Courses are generally undertaken over an 4 hour day split into a solo course running 8am – 12pm or 12pm – 4pm.
*You will undertake a 1hr assessment prior to agreeing training time and content to ensure the length of course matches your ability.
